Ham Salad

There’s not much to say about sandwich spreads, except they’re all a quick, convenient and delicious option to have available for a quick lunch or sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 1 12 pounds boneless cooked ham
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 stalk celery, roughly chopped
  • 14-12 cup onion, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (225 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, ground
  • 12 teaspoon salt

Cooking Instructions

Preparation

  1. Boil 2 eggs until hard boiled
  2. Dice 1 12 pounds of ham into large chunks for the food processor
  3. Chop an onion to create approximately 14 to 12 cup of chopped onion
  4. Chop 1 stalk of celery for the food processor

Dressing

  1. In a large bowl, blend 1 cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of sweet pickle relish, 1 tablespoon of prepared mustard, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper and 12 teaspoon of salt

Food Process and Blend Ham Salad

  1. Put 1 12 pounds of diced ham, 14 to 12 cup of chopped onion, 1 stalk of chopped celery and 2 chopped hard boiled eggs into the food processor
    1. Everything going into the food process should be roughly cohpped
  2. Blend the ham mixture gently with the food processor using the pulse function or short blend times until everything is chopped finely and blended together
  3. Add the dressing to the ham mixture and pulse the blender to mix well
  4. Transfer to a bowl for serving and storing
    • For best results, refrigerate for a few hours prior to serving

Notes

3/27/2022 - I think it could use more pickle and celery. Otherwise it’s really good. Just need to get timing written out.
